After a fulfilling career in education—first as an elementary school teacher specializing in Special Education and Literacy, and later as a school principal—I retired from the classroom but not from creating meaningful experiences. Throughout my time in education, I found great joy in preparing school ceremonies and liturgies, always striving to make them thoughtful and meaningful.
Now, in my second career as a Wedding Officiant, I’ve brought that same passion and care into crafting personalized wedding ceremonies. I take the time to truly get to know each couple, ensuring their special day reflects their unique story, values, and love. It’s a privilege to help create and be part of such cherished moments.
A bit more about me...
I'm happily married to Mark, a local realtor and fellow travel lover, am a proud mom to two sons and a daughter — with two weddings on the horizon this year, life is full of joy and celebration! We share our home with Esme, our lively and curious Goldendoodle who keeps us on our toes.
I teach English as a Second Language to adults who are new to Canada, and I’m passionate about building community, both in and out of the classroom. I also volunteer with several local organizations. In my downtime, you'll find me swimming, biking, walking, reading, or planning our next travel adventure — I've been to every Canadian province except Newfoundland, which is high on my list.
Planning our own wedding was a highlight for me; I love creating meaningful moments that reflect a couple's identity as ajust as our ceremony reflected ours.
